Slip and Fall Injuries
What should you do when you have been injured in a Slip and Fall?
In Florida, a property owner has a duty to check property on a regular basis to ensure safety, or post signs indicating to visitors to the property of possible dangerous conditions.
Possible dangerous conditions that can lead to a slip and fall are obstacles on walkway, slippery or wet surfaces, broken or uneven concrete, carpet tears, loose rocks or gravel, unlighted or insufficiently lighted areas, broken stairs, loose handrails, broken glass, etc.
Get Medical Help and Make a Report
If you are injured in a slip and fall, you should seek medical treatment immediately. You should file a report with the property owner or management company, but avoid speaking with their attorney.
